We’re excited to introduce our new colleague, the fabulous Osteopath Charlotte Hunt.
Here’s what she had to tell us about herself:
I moved to Farnham recently with my husband and daughter and realised quickly that I no longer wanted to continue to commute to work in London. Instead I decided I wanted to establish myself locally and so working with Orit is an extremely exciting opportunity.
My osteopathy career is my second career after working in the corporate world of PR, oil and gas and insurance industries for 15 years. However, I felt my calling was more in a healing profession so over 5 years I retrained as a mature student. I had received osteopathic treatment since I was a teenager that helped me so much and I was drawn back to this as my chosen career. I absolutely love being able to help people of all ages by relieving their long- and short-term pains – I know how they feel as I have been there myself!
Since qualifying 11 years ago, I have worked in busy practices in Harley Street in London as well as in East Surrey treating a wide variety of conditions for patients of all ages. Over recent years, I have built up an interest and expertise in treating musculoskeletal pain in expectant and postpartum mums, babies and children as well as treating three generations of several families! I have specific obstetric, paediatric, and cranial osteopathy training and my own experience as a mother to a two-year-old!
However, I enjoy helping people of all ages and professions (amateur athletes, elderly, students, teenagers, manual workers, DIY / gardening enthusiasts, active retired and many more) and have experience in treating a wide range of conditions having additional qualifications in Sports Injury and Sports Massage and Cranial Osteopathy.
My treatments involve hands on techniques as well as discussing with patients’ potential factors contributing to their pain and discomfort whether from work, a sport, or their lifestyle. I give tailored postural advice plus stretching or strengthening exercises to help patients with ongoing management of their symptoms and prevention of injury recurrence.
With this holistic treatment approach, I promote self-awareness and encourage my patients to play a part in their own recovery ensuring a long-term solution rather than a quick fix.
I plan to post some regular blogs on specific symptoms and patient groups particularly pregnancy and postpartum and if you’d like to hear more about how I can potentially help you please do email me at email@example.com.
