I joined the Meadowside family 18 months ago having had 30 plus years in the dental industry. In my previous roles as Front of House and Practice Manager in this industry, I have plenty of experience in caring for patient’s needs, looking after the clinicians and generally making sure the Practice ran smoothly. I am delighted that I can now bring my experience and skills to the Meadowside Osteopathy.
I like to keep fit by attending a hula hoop exercise class bright and early on a Sunday morning and I love to potter about in my little cottage garden and enjoy growing vegetables.
Another passion of mine is my volunteering work with a local animal rescue centre. I help to reunite lost pets, find new homes for the abandoned, I foster poorly cats and generally provide love and care until they go off to their new homes. I enjoy getting out in the fresh air on my ebike and often stop off at little coffee shops for a little refreshment.
My travels further afield have taken me to Wyoming for a ‘City Slicker’ style trip where I indulged my passion for horses and wild open spaces. I spent time rounding up cattle, learning how to lasso a straw bale, actual horses were a bit of a stretch for this trainee cowgirl. I also rode out to neighbouring ranches to help with sorting, castrating & tagging the new season calves which was a very new experience for me! At the end of the day we would have a nice sing song around the campfire and a nice soak in the hot tub, it wasn’t all hard work!
Another trip I made was canoeing the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. Encountering elephants, zebras, kudus, lions & crocodiles was just up my street. Sleeping under the stars to the sound of bleating hippos in the river was heaven to wildlife mad me.
