Welcome to Meadowside Osteopathy we’re excited to help you start your journey to better health.
The short answer is – very likely, yes!
Osteopathy is a whole-body approach — so wherever you’re feeling discomfort, we look at how the whole body moves and functions to get to the root of the problem. Treatment may include hands-on techniques, exercise advice, lifestyle tweaks, and rehab plans to help you feel and move better.
Our team of osteopaths are highly trained healthcare professionals, each completing a 4-year Masters degree in Osteopathy, alongside additional specialist training in a wide range of areas.
Many of our osteopaths have gone on to complete further courses in areas such as:
Dry needling (medical acupuncture)
Kinesiology taping
Paediatric osteopathy (treating babies & children)
Pelvic floor and women’s health (supporting mums during and after pregnancy)
Sports injury management
TMJ & jaw pain treatment
This means we’re able to support people of all ages — from newborns to older adults.
Back & neck pain
Hip, knee & ankle problems
Shoulder, elbow & wrist injuries
Jaw (TMJ) pain & headaches
Pregnancy-related pain & postnatal recovery
Pelvic floor dysfunction
Sports injuries & performance support
Children’s development & growing pains
General aches, tension & stiffness
When you visit us, your osteopath will take the time to understand your symptoms, lifestyle, and medical history to develop a treatment plan that’s tailored to you. They will assess the area of concern, evaluating associated joints, muscles, and movement patterns, and explain the issue clearly along with how we can address it together.
Your first appointment will be a thorough assessment where your osteopath will build a personalised treatment plan. This may include hands-on techniques, advice, and exercises to help you feel better. Treatment often involves hands-on methods to reduce pain and improve function, with exercise recommendations to support your recovery. You’ll have access to our app with easy-to-follow exercise plans to help you stay on track with your progress.
For recent symptoms, 1 or 2 sessions might be enough to resolve them. For more long-term issues, a gradual approach is often needed, typically 4-6 appointments in the first month, with occasional follow-ups to maintain lasting results. Your osteopath will guide you every step of the way, adjusting the plan to ensure the best outcome.
If further tests, like blood work or an X-ray, are necessary before treatment, we’ll refer you to the appropriate healthcare professional, such as your GP.
At Meadowside, we pride ourselves on being a team of kind-hearted individuals who genuinely care about your well-being.
Altea and Amanda will greet you with a warm smile and a cup of tea, making sure you feel comfortable right from the start.
We focus on more than just treating symptoms—we take the time to understand your unique story and work together to help you achieve long-lasting health and vitality.
You’ll always feel welcomed, supported, and truly listened to when you visit us.
