Having spent some time with kind Doctors and nurses during my childhood, I have always dreamed of pursuing a career in healthcare – I find caring for others extremely rewarding, and I love what I do.
Osteopathy was a latter career choice for me. After seeing my father being treated by an Osteopath, and the positive effect it had on his life, I was inspired to pursue a career in alternative, holistic healthcare.
I studied a Masters degree in Osteopathy at the University College of Osteopathy in London. During my training, I worked in various specialist clinics, including Women’s Health clinic, Over 55’s clinic, and within an NHS GP clinic.
I also treated many patients after the pandemic, which sparked my interest in the effects of work ergonomics, and the chronic pains which can arise from various work situations – desk work being one of the worst!
Since starting my career in Osteopathy I’ve become fascinated with the biomechanics that keep us moving day-to-day. Keeping moving is often the key to a well-balanced, healthy lifestyle and it’s my passion to help people do this comfortably, in every way possible.
I have also completed a Level 3 Sports Massage Therapy course, which allowed me to treat sports related injuries during my Osteopathy studies; seeing patients recover and getting back to activity and wellness was truly rewarding, and reaffirmed my professional choice.
I try to stay active myself by walking and running around the Surrey Hills which I love, especially when the weather is nice! I also enjoy keeping fit in other ways through strength training and dancing.
I am excited to be part of the Osteopathic Team at Meadowside, and look forward to helping you return to your passions and health.
