Helping active people recover from pain and injury with fast access to expert diagnosis, hands-on treatment from the first appointment, and guidance for recovery, performance, and long-term resilience.
If you are struggling with an injury or discomfort when exercising, whether you’re a runner or cyclist, play tennis or golf, or any other sport – our sports osteopaths can help assess and diagnose the likely cause of your pain, provide targeted hands-on treatment, and put in place a bespoke rehabilitation program to get you back on track.
We start by listening to you, learning about your goals, your medical history and any symptoms you are concerned about. We then assess your movements and posture, and discuss with you what we believe is going on, and what is the best way forward.
We then provide you with the most suitable treatment and a tailor made, continuously adapted treatment and exercise program, specific to your individual needs and goals.
Overtraining, poor footwear, or tight calves can overload the Achilles tendon. Repeated strain leads to micro-tears, thickening, and inflammation that cause stiffness and pain.

Also known as patellofemoral pain, runner’s knee develops when the kneecap doesn’t track smoothly due to muscle imbalance or overuse. It’s common during increased mileage or hill running.

You might notice:
The shoulder’s rotator cuff muscles control stability and movement. Repetitive overhead actions (like swimming or throwing) or a fall can strain or tear these small but vital muscles.
You might notice:
Overuse or repetitive strain from gripping, lifting, or swinging can irritate tendons in the forearm and elbow. This inflammation causes pain that builds gradually and worsens with activity.
You might notice:
Running, cycling, or field sports can place repetitive strain on the hips and pelvis. Muscle imbalance or tightness can cause discomfort, reduced stride, or referred pain into the lower back or thighs.
You might notice:
Lifting heavy weights, sudden twisting, or prolonged strain can cause a spinal disc to bulge or irritate nearby nerves. This may lead to back pain, sciatica, or a feeling of weakness or numbness in the legs.
You might notice:
Repetitive training, sudden impact, or poor posture can put stress on the spine. Over time, this may cause stiffness, muscle tightness, or nerve irritation — especially after long sessions or sitting between workouts.
